Good evening Resident.
I hope you are well.
The Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team are always dealing with local community issues. We use calls to service to monitor issues and find out what is happening, when it is happening, how often is it happening ETC.
But over these past few weeks. We are seeing people reports issues that affect the local community on services such as Facebook, Twitter, Community pages ETC. Rather than reporting these issues to us via 101 or 999.
These are services what West Midlands Police do not monitor and use as a method of reporting issues.
Reporting issues via 101 or 999, helps us the Local Neighbourhood team, and West Midlands Police as a whole. To know what is happening with the community. Allowing us to be become knowledgeable of the issue at hand and allowing us to use the reports and information from those reports, to tackle the issue head on.
But if these issues are not called in to us via 101 or 999. Then your local team, as well as West Midlands Police, are left in the dark about the situation. Meaning that we will not be able to address the issues as soon as. Allowing time for the issue to get bigger and bigger.
So please. We ask of you to report any issues directly to us. And not by reporting any issues on any social media sites or community pages.
If a crime is happening right at that moment, then call 999. If a crime has happened while you were not present, and you have only just seen it via CCTV or from being told by your neighbour ETC. Than call 101.
Or if you do not feel comfortable speaking to someone over the phone. Than you can report anything you see via our online webchat service.
Thank you for reading. It is always appreciated.
Kind regards. | ||
